RA Rosati Drywall Taping Method

Our team of professional tapers uses the highest quality materials guaranteeing a top notch finish. We apply paper tape to butt joints, and mesh tape to cornerbeads to avoid any cracking. A level 4 finish is typically the stage we bring walls to, however level 5 is a great option if walls or ceilings are highly visible with artificial or natural sunlight. We always offer suggestions on where level 5 finishes would be advisable. Level 5 prevents what is known as “flashing”. Flashing is a result of drywall compound and drywall sheets having a different texture. When light shines against a wall, this difference in texture can be noticeable if the lighting is severe enough. Once we complete taping, we walk through the entire house and inspect all walls and ceilings with a multi directional light. Any imperfections are corrected with drywall compound with colouring added to it. This colouring allows us to see what needs to be sanded before the walls can be primed.
